What is outdoor advertising?

Outdoor advertising refers to equipment or structures set up in outdoor public places for conveying advertising messages, such as large billboards, light boxes, LED screens, poster boards, and so on. This form of advertising mainly utilizes the high traffic flow in public places to display advertising messages to passing pedestrians and vehicles.

Here are some characteristics of outdoor advertising:

  1. Wide coverage: Since it is set up in public places, such as roads, squares, stations, etc., it can reach a large number of people.
  2. Long time display: Once set up, the advertisement will be displayed 24 hours a day, ensuring the message is conveyed to audiences at different time periods.
  3. High prominence: Due to the large size, conspicuous position, and lighting or dynamic effects, outdoor advertisements are usually able to attract people’s attention.
  4. Spatial flexibility: different sizes, shapes and positions of advertising carriers can be selected according to the content and budget.
  5. Relatively high production cost: The production and maintenance cost of large billboards or LED screens are relatively high, but the effect is also more significant.

Due to its high visual impact and wide coverage, outdoor advertising has long been an important tool for brand publicity and promotional activities.
